Please see the Spices group post for a lot more Tumeric content... the 3 orange babies are so hard to tell apart in pictures!! I've done my best to find Tumeric pictures... but it is very possible his siblings snuck in, especially the belly up pictures.... all 3 enjoy being held on their backs and softly pet until they pass out!

When they're running around, Tumeric is the easiest to tell apart- he has stripy fur instead of marbled fur. Belly up, it's so tricky!! He's one of the most active orange kittens, so it can be tricky to get a picture that isn't a blur... but when he gets his face rubbed, he goes limp just like his siblings.
Tumeric and brother from another mother Cardamom are great pals. They play, sleep, cuddle, and groom each other. They don't stress out or get anxious if they're apart, so I can't call them a bonded pair... but the do seek each other out often.

Tumeric is becoming more chill while brother Cardamom is more active. He's spending more time with lazy Saffron. Tumeric is a very social kitten and would love to be in a home with other kittens.
He's a good balance of cuddly and playful, social and independent, refined and goofy.

I discovered today that I've spelled Tumeric's name wrong! The actual spice has a sneaky R hanging out.. TuRmeric. But it's too late now! Tumeric doesn't care... every time he helped me type up lesson plans, his spelling was horrendously bad.
After their neuter surgery, Tumeric and his brothers recovered fairly quickly. Cardamom just wanted to play, but Tumeric went back to work- given Saffron his nightly kitten massage. I thought I caught a video, but I failed... so you can't watch him gently knead on his brother and the plush unicorn bed while they both purr like maniacs.

But all good things.... it was that time again for me to say goodbye, possibly forever, to my sweet babies. Two of the spices found forever homes with my friends, and I knew I'd see them again... but the fate of Tumeric and Saffron were unclear. I dropped them off with a bag of treats, toys, health records, and every hope and wish for them to have a happy future.
I was THRILLED when Frodo Tumeric's new mommy tagged me with a picture of him in his new home on Facebook.

He slept with them all night and was still cuddled with his mommy when we connected on Facebook in the morning. My heart breaks every time I take a kitten to be adopted, and it is so wonderful when I hear from their new homes and get those picture updates. I can't wait to watch this boy grow up virtually!
Update 8/3/2020
Frodo is a very spoiled young man. His mom has to hold him in a sling or backwards hoodie while she works because he won't leave her alone. I forgot to verify that I could post pictures, so I won't post anything quite yet- but he's got a good, loving home!
