Tesseract is dentified by her untamable floofiness

Tesseract travels immediately into your heart with one soulful look from her floofy face. She was the hissiest of her litter, persisting in tiny hissy fits for days. Too bad she was so tiny that no one ever took her seriously. I think she thought her name was "you're not scary!", since I told her that repeatedly those first few days.

No matter how vigorously she hissed when approached, she was also completely still and tolerant when picked up. Eventually she would relax, and sometimes even slightly rumble with a tiny purr... then we'd repeat the whole hissy fit the next time I approached her.

In time, she, too, learned that humans could be trusted. Her calm, passive acceptance of touch made her a favorite with visiting children.

Tessa likes to crawl into my lap or curl up next to me for pets, then wander off. After walking 1-20 steps away, she'll mewl forlornly, as if to say "WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?! I AM ALL ALONE!" This starts another of our routine conversations, but this time I repeatedly remind her that I have not moved at all and my lap is exactly where SHE left it.

I have a master's degree, have been told I'm an intimidating athlete, and regularly fulfill leadership positions. Regardless, I regularly lose the battle with this 1.5 lb tiny floof. She will continue to wail as if I have abandoned her completely unless I pick her back up. You bet your fluff nuggets I relent and pick her back up more often than not.
