6/9/19 Scotchmallow's eyes cleared up quickly!

Have you ever had a scotchmallow from See's candies? Rich dark chocolate outside (they have milk chocolate versions as well) with just the right balance of caramel and marshmallow on the inside. Scotchmallow has a smooth silky coat and just the right balance of spunky and sweet. He came to us with gooey, oozy eyes and did NOT care much for having them cleaned or administration of medicine, but he never used his claws to show his displeasure.

Scotchmallow wiggled a bit during his bath but just loved being swaddled in a towel, getting dried, then becoming a purrito to snuggle on mom's chest on his second night. He plays hard but loves harder.

Scotchmallow likes to be tucked in and is often on the bottom of the kitten piles or snuggled into the hammock.

6/17/19 Scotchmallow and Mochi

Mochi, the house diva, wanted to be around the kittens and their never ending supply of kitten kibble, but would whack any kitten that ventured too close. Scotchmallow would not be deterred and was the first kitten to break through her surly defenses. The heavy sprinkling of catnip on the pet bed and his head may have helped mellow Mochi's mood. She's used to meeting new kittens, but never 5 at a time!

Update 7/7/19: Scotchmallow prefers people to other pets, though he gets along with EVERYONE. He's harder to get in pictures as he loves to climb up my back and nestle on my neck or tuck himself in a ball near my butt if I'm sitting around. He's satisfied playing on his own with a crinkle ball, piece of trash, or dust bunny while his siblings wrestle, though he holds his own when he joins in the fray.

7/20/19 Update

With luck, this little guy will find his forever home this weekend. I hope to get updates that I can post (email pictures/stories to kitteeohana@gmail.com) and that his new family will enjoy all of his early kitten pics here. I'm going to miss his purr and rumble. He did not really want to sit still for a last minute photo shoot.

Update 8/4/19

Several times as I cleaned kennels last week, someone would knock on the window to ask me about Scotchmallow. His sleek, unique markings caught many eyes! I was temporarily disappointed yesterday when he wasn't on the adopted list, but my heart soared today when I saw that he found his forever home. I didn't get to meet his new mommy, and don't have permission to post their adoption pictures, so here's the last ones I took when I visited him today!

Scotchmallow seemed to enjoy being a nursing toy for Caramel (Caramel still needs a forever home!!)
