Popcorn was always the first one to pop out of the crate, the first one to explore new areas, the first one to escape at any opportunity. He was also the first one to learn that kitten mews bring mom on the run. Popcorn seemed like a great name for his bouncy, noisy personality. He loves other cats and was desperate to meet the house cats.

Popcorn is the first kitten to learn how soft and gentle puppy kisses can be. He didn't mind getting slightly soggy, as long as he was getting his attention. Popcorn rarely curls up solo. If he can't curl up on or near a hooman, he almost always finds a furry friend.
Popcorn has grown from 1# 0 1/4 oz on 6/7/19 to 1# 7 5/8 oz on 6/16/19.

Popcorn was quick to take advantage of Scotchmallow's persistence with meeting Mochi. Once Mochi stopped automatically swatting at them, he did his best to wrestle her. She let him think he was winning for approximately 5 seconds before putting him in his place.
It's hard to get a picture of popcorn sleeping. He's one of the most active. If someone is climbing the pen or manages to pop out and try to explore the house, it's almost always Popcorn-sometimes he takes Cotton Candy around. When he does sleep, he often likes to curl up next to you, trapping your arms, or he'll sneak under the blanked to snuggle.
Update 7/13/19
Popcorn found a forever home! When a family came to visit, Popcorn promptly climbed up a young man to perch on his head. It was instant love, and the family is now just waiting for Popcorn to be fixed so he is eligible for adoption. Then he'll get to go home to his human family, dog brother, and bearded dragon brother.
Popcorn has become a shoulder cat. When company arrived today for a nerdgasmic game of d&d, Popcorn greeted them by climbing almost everyone who entered the home. He loves all living creatures!
Update 7/20/19
Popcorn goes to his new family today. Happily, they're friends of mine who came over to pick a kitten and fell in love with this spunky character. Husband let me keep the cats in the bedroom and their last night in our house, instead of locked up in their crate. Popcorn kept his motor running on my legs or chest most of the night.
I hope to get pictures of him in his new home to add... but got some last pics here at his foster home.
7/28/19 Update
Popcorn was the first adoption of the day last week, to the delight of his new family.
Popcorn quickly adjusted to his bearded dragon sibling, Spyro, but it took him almost a week to show signs of weakness with doggo Gus, who was desparate to meet him. I really hope they'll play well together soon!
9/9/19 update
I feel so lucky to get fairly frequent updates from Popcorn, who is doing his best to take over his new household. I'm not sure if they're teaching him to not steal off their plates or if he's teaching them how to share... time will tell. But Gus is thrilled that Popcorn has fully accepted his friendship. These best buddies hang out together now.
UPDATE 11/3/19
I love hearing stories about my kittens after they've found their forever homes- and I hear the most from Popcorn, who continues to keep his family entertained with his ever evolving antics. He discovered the dog door long ago and has become quite the hunter. He's also become an IRB ambassdor... he wandered into his neighbor's house and charmed the small human beans there. They were sad when it was time for him to go home and are considering a future adoptions!
Popcorn's mom has different descriptive names for him, but loves him very much despite the challenges of raising a confident, adventurous kitten.
12/13/19 Update
I love it when my friends adopt my fosters. The stories and updates are wonderful! Popcorn is enjoying his first Christmas. Maybe not as much as he enjoys hunting and eating birds, but he definitely loves sleeping under this Christmas tree skirt.
Updated 1/22/20
When he's not out hunting, Popcorn loves to hang out with his people!
