In a noisy bunch of kittens, Firecracker stands out as being extra vocal! He has a delightful little squeak that he uses to get attention, maintain attention, show pleasure in attention, and thank you for attention. Unfortunately, he doesn't use it when he is trying to climb out of the kitten pen and needs close supervision right now, as he's too little to go free-roaming the house.
Update 8/15/19
While the other kittens have learned that their nutrition, hydration, and emotional needs will be met regularly, Firecracker is not convinced that he gets enough attention. He continues to yell at us at regular intervals. For some reason, though I clean his litter box, snuggle him regularly, and sneak kitten treats to him- he's decided my husband is his favorite person. If we're both available, he'll climb up and drape himself on the husband's arms or on his shoulder. When the husband isn't around, he satisfies himself with me.
8/25/19 Update
Firecracker drives me nuts!!! He constantly puts himself in adorable poses, then twitches just as I get my camera to focus. I have deleted more blurry pictures of Firecracker than any other kitten. Still.. I managed to get some cute ones, don't you think?
9/9/19 Update
Though still the noisiest of the kittens, Firecracker has become much more confident in his human interactions. He'll curl up nearby almost any time he gets tired enough to relax, though he doesn't like to be cuddled as much as the others (I like to hold them in my arms like babies- he'd prefer to sit on me or near me on his own terms). His fur has become more short and sleek in the past week.
Loved the night of his kitten blep. Blep!

Firecracker was the first adoption of the day yesterday!! My guess is that he was at the Petsmart less than a few hours after I dropped him off.

I got two wonderful nights with Firecracker between his surgery and dropping him off at Petsmart. Something about losing his niblets made him into a super sweet cuddlebug. He tried to bury himself in my armpit while cuddling me in the bed. He was always trying to snuggle in those final days with us. I was not convinced I could let him go when it was time to bundle him up in his crate to get dropped off.
I wish you the best life! I'd LOVE updates (with pictures?!) if you are his adoptive family: kitteeohana@gmail.com
