Eowyn is shy, but lets you hold her for a long time. She's even starting to like it sometimes! She is fond of food time and has sought out friendships with some of my household cats already!

When I was petting her the other day, I noticed that she would blep every time I scratched a certain place behind her ears... I caught a little on video, but she stopped doing it as consistently... or I was in the wrong place.
She wiggled a bit during bath time, but seems to love the after bath purrito time.

Eowyn gave me a challenge! She steadily lost weight for the first week, despite eating well. Some weight loss is pretty normal the first few days when they're stressed from the move, but Eowyn continued to drop. Then she seemed to lose her appetite... or she would eat for a few seconds then need to rest before taking another bite.
Full panic mode ensued. I immediately started her on antibiotics and my foster mentor got us a trip to the vet and my wonderful husband, who has a more flexible work schedule, took her in. Because she could only eat in small bits, so I asked my mom to watch her during the day and feed her frequently.
Foster grandma and grandpa were happy to get the kittens, who were both so happy to get the constant attention. I'm not sure how many times my mom told me Eowyn was "so sweet", but it was a LOT. The frequent feedings and unconditional love turned things around for Eowyn, who began putting on weight immediately.
Eowyn is still wary of people. She is never sure if she's being picked up to be cuddled and fed... or to get syringes of medicines shoved down to her. She might shrink away or try to run... but not as often and she doesn't run as fast. Sometimes when I'm busy, I'll turn around and see her sneaking up on me. Like her brother Eomer, once you catch her and pick her up, she tends to relax and cuddle.
As much as I loved my first two sets of foster kittens... bold, confident, and super cuddly...
I think my favorite moment of fostering was when Eowyn chose to come lay on me in the bed for a little bit.. completely on her own!

Eowyn has been heavy enough to get fixed the past several weeks, but I'm very glad the surgery schedule has been full. Until recently, she would ALWAYS run and hide or cringe when we approached her. Once caught, she was as sweet as could be, but catching her could be difficult! Finally, after a lot of snuggling, playing, and (her favorite) hand feedings, she is beginning to approach us, play on top of us, and snuggle with us by choice. She's become quite playful!
Eowyn is initially shy of strangers, but warms up quickly. When our family came over for D&D (yes, the nerd game), Eowyn spent the entire 5 hour session either on my neice's shoulder or being passed around in her fuzzy unicorn bed. My brother actually fell asleep holding her in her unicorn break during our dinner break.
We picked up 3 new kittens on Halloween, and Eowyn was not thrilled about being displaced at first. But she's actually tried to join me when I'm sitting with the tiny tots in the pen working to socialize them.
Update 12/5/19
Eowyn is slow to warm up, but it's worth the effort to earn her trust. She's laying on a person in almost all of these pictures!
Eowyn loves spending time with her brother, but she's bolder than he is and approaches us more often. Lately she's been sleeping on the bed almost every night and will purr when I pet her in the morning.
Eowyn LOVES interactive toys. She'll play with you forever if you wave a wand around for her. Play and food are the way into her heart. I hope she'll find a family that will feed her patience and love to earn her trust and loyalty.
