Tiny Torti Tot

Eclair didn't waste a single minute adjusting- she settled into a comfortable belly up snuggle in my lap as soon as I let them out of their crate.

When Eclair wanders too far during play (more than two feet away), she stops to make sure I'm still there. If she thinks I might be leaving, she will stop peeking at me and come to me with her puss in boots eyes and beg me to stay. Spoiler alert.... I usually stay.

While Malasada transformed into a tiny diva and Beignet crept around the pen, Eclair woke up and decided laps were not the best vantage point to survey her new kingdom.

Eclair is going to make some future family very happy. She's spunky and sweet!

Update 9/23/20

Eclair is the most independent of the donut shop kittens, but that's not saying much. They're all extremely clingy and needy. While Eclair spends less time with her siblings, she actively seeks attention from humans and my house cat, Pigwidgeon. Piggy seems to have a special place in her heart for little Eclair also!

Eclair still loves to climb up as a shoulder kitten. I know that these are horrible pictures, but it's really hard to get a good picture of moving kittens on my shoulder... they're terrible at posing.

Update 10/11/20

Eclair has continued to spend more and more time with humans versus feline companions. A friend stopped by a few days ago and walked into my house to use the restroom. As she was standing in the kitchen, talking with my husband, Eclair jumped up and attached on her bum before clambering up onto her shoulder.

I was sitting on the floor attaching panels to the baby gate (in an attempt to keep the donut shop kittens away from the new litter of kittens I brought home) when Eclair decided to supervise. She was very intrigued by the entire process, which she then outsmarted by leaping straight over the baby gate.

Eclairs favorite toy of all time is her tail. She has 2 favorite spots for this- on the ledge of our shower (90% of the time, if I'm on the potty, she's playing on this ledge) and on the kitchen mats. She hates being filmed playing with it though- she'll flip and spin and twirl until I take my camera out. As soon as I do, she almost always trots off nonchalantly.

Today she roped Beignet into playing with her- he seemed to enjoy it too!

Update 10/24/20

Eclair is heading to the adoption center in an hour. She's ready to make you her new home. Hard to get great pictures of her- she's much cuter in person.. my bad photography skills don't capture her color well. She's also frequently on my shoulder, head, or back... and it's just hard to get a shot of her! Please keep me updated if you adopt this little girl!

Update 12/8/2020

Eclair was actually adopted the same day as brother Beignet. I was at Petsmart filling out the paperwork when a family came to meet her- the daughter was looking for a shoulder cat and LOVED the pictures of Eclair on my head. She re-named her Cleo, I think...

I'm hoping they'll reach out with updated pictures. They were so excited to take her home!
