Caramel melts into your hand when you rub behind his ears. He loves to sleep in your lap or on your belly, but will ooze off if you don't hold him up. Caramel is the first to learn to sustain a purr and almost always starts his motor as soon as you touch him, unless he's focused on a toy or in full play mode.
Caramel was part of the brown nose duo- the smallest of the litter sought out the most cuddles the first few days. He will roll and tumble with his brothers and sister, but his toy of choice is a fuzzy mouse.
Caramel is working hard to catch up to his brothers in size. Only Cotton Candy has gained more weight than him in the past 9 days. Starting under 1 lb at 0# 13 1/4 oz on 6/7/19, he is 1# 6 1/4 oz on 6/16/19.
6/23/19 Update: Caramel is a favorite of pets and guests. When you pick him up, he almost always starts his engine and he's the first one to settle down after play time. He loves to be held, but also loves chase toys, like toy mice or crinkle balls.
6/30/19 Update: Almost as soon as the crate door opens in the morning, Caramel hops onto my shoulder to say hello. He'll then run around and play with his siblings, but if I walk away and then return, I have to be fast to give him a pat or he'll try to scale my legs. It's summer time and I live in running skirts and shorts, so I'm fairly confident I'll keep a tiny Caramel puncture scar on my leg long after he finds his forever home. When they start winding down, a sleeping kitten shape on my back, shoulder, or curled next to my butt is almost always Caramel first. He's the best purr bucket of this litter.
Caramel still remains the calmest around the dogs and will sometimes try to get puppy attention, while his siblings mostly ignore the large floofs.
7/20/19 Update
If I could have kept one of this litter, it would have been Caramel (even though I'd have more luck convincing the hubby to keep his favorite, Cotton Candy). I'm enchanted by his squeaking and chirping. He'll sometimes follow me around, begging for attention. I didn't get as many pictures of him because he was often in my arms and I couldn't reach my phone!
If you're his new foster parents, I'd sure love updates! (email pictures/stories to kitteeohana@gmail.com)
8/13/19 Update
Caramel was adopted with another IBR kitten almost a week ago. I'm so happy he will have a kitten buddy! I spent most of his last week at Petsmart volunteering to clean kennels so I got to cuddle him almost every night before he was adopted.
