Love in a Box

When my husband said I could not adopt a new kitten this year (potentially our first kitten-less year since we bought this house together), I convinced him to let me foster. I contacted the wonderful Itsie Bitsie Rescue (you can choose them as a charity on smile.amazon.com) and volunteered to foster during my summer time. They said they picked up new kittens every Thursday and would call me if she had a litter for me.

Thursday morning brought a lot of eager anticipation, but my phone didn't ring until nearly 8pm. A short drive and a cardboard box later and I had 5 slightly stunned kittens in my home.

Male, brown nose, melts into your hands

Male, white nose, eye infection, very mellow

Male, spot on nose; first to mew and want out of the box

Fluffy male; only one to play with toys

Only female; runt of the litter, super cuddler

IBR provided us with all the supplies needed, so we got them set up quickly. They were very comfortable with us from the start and it didn't take long for them to curl up in our laps. It was very hard to put them back into their crate for the night.
